STRETCH and you
This page is for you — the person doing the learning. It explains what STRETCH knows about you, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do. There is a longer version for grown-ups on the Privacy Policy page.
What STRETCH knows about you
Not very much, and only what it needs:
- Your first name, or a nickname — whatever the grown-up who set up your account chose.
- Your username and PIN, so you can sign in and nobody else can.
- Which year group you are in, so the words are the right level.
- How you are getting on — which words you have mastered, your coins, your rank, and which questions you found tricky.
That is it. We do not ask for your address, your phone number, or your photograph. We never ask you to write anything about yourself.
Who can see it

| A Super Tutor | Only if your parent says yes first — and only you, not your friends. Your parent can stop this whenever they like. |
| Other children | Nothing. Children cannot look at each other's progress. |
Things we will never do
- We will never show you adverts.
- We will never sell anything about you to anybody.
- We will never ask you to chat with strangers. There is no messaging on STRETCH.
- We will never use tricks to keep you playing longer than you want to. When you want to stop, stop.
- We will never share your work with anyone outside the people in the table above.
Things you can ask for
These are your rights. They are real, and you are allowed to use them.
- “What do you have about me?” — we will show you.
- “That is wrong, please fix it.” — we will correct it.
- “Please delete it.” — we will, unless your school needs to keep it.
- “Stop using it.” — you can ask us to stop.
Ask a grown-up you trust to help you — a parent, carer or teacher. They can email us and we will reply within one month.
Getting a star, or not getting one
When you get an answer wrong, nothing is taken away from you. You do not lose stars or coins. The word simply comes back later so you get another go. STRETCH is not trying to catch you out.
If something worries you
If anything on STRETCH makes you uncomfortable, or something looks wrong, tell a grown-up you trust straight away. They can email us at studiokingelin@gmail.com.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been looked after, you or a grown-up can also tell the Information Commissioner's Office, whose job is making sure organisations look after people's information properly. Their website is ico.org.uk and their phone number is 0303 123 1113.

We follow the Information Commissioner's Age Appropriate Design Code — a set of rules about looking after children online.
